No.125 KOMBUCHA

objective

category

Kombucha is a natural processed fermented beverage, which tastes acidic and lightly effervescent. It is made from high-quality tea, mineral water, organic cane sugar, and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY), then fermented in glass vessels at room temperature for 21 days. Kombucha contains various kinds of probiotics that cannot be produced by our own body, which helps with the balance and enhances the functionality of the digestive system, excretory system, and immune system directly.

Nowadays, kombucha has been modified by mixing with juices or herbal tea to create a variety of flavors and fermenting in a closed bottle to generates fizziness similar to soda beverages. This drink is very refreshing and suitable for people who are looking for a healthy alternative or want to reduce the consumption of high sugar beverages. Kombucha is commonly consumed in many countries today, such as the United States and Australia.

visual design

The natural beauty has been considered to be a significant aspect. The brand visual has derived from the experimentation by painting kombucha on a paper; its chemical reaction caused unexpected outcomes. The icon on the label design originates from a standard fermented kombucha jar, the cloud and a water drop shape inside symbolize the natural fermentation process.

package design

Kombucha is contained in a standard shape glass bottle as it remains the practical bottle design. Grids and orders are considered to use in the layout design of a bottle label for legibility. Users can perceive and classify each flavor of kombucha by colors and text emphasis. There is also a takeaway package which is a folding carton box with self-lock and divided into sections for six bottles. When holding the package by hand, it creates tension and strengthens the lock. The paper material of the box is durable and can be reused.
